Two friends of ours were out last night and were on their way home. On MONTANA and ECHO PARK they were approached by a man (possibly 2?) who is described as a gang member. He began yelling at them and calling them “faggots” and saying really awful homophobic…

really, this is not even worth reading.

pick up crazy pills at walgreen’s + some other junk
bus it to Costco to pick up my contacts. they’ve been there for over a month.
bus it to pasadena to sign my receipt for joining LA Fitness. And take my silly ID photo.
buy some smoke?
do my nailz.
shave my legs (hence the need for pants)
do the dishes. neverending dishes.
figure out what to do with this sirloin. i’m feeling something asian. oyster sauce ftw.
work out a bit
figure out a way to make $$$. i have no creativity nor do i enjoy crafting, so starting an esty shop is a stretch. ebay? i have nothing of value. cam girl? not into it. second job? i’m already exhausted.
contemplate the meaning of life. or something.

i think my dad is under the impression that i was selected from an elite bunch of applicants for this leadership forum in July.

really, i just applied, but hey, i am always trying to get my face out there within the company.

when i applied, i didn’t have a particular unfortunate hit to my $$$ sitch, so i was sure i’d be able to cover the costs even if my work didn’t.

womp womp, things changed.

note: my parents don’t help me AT ALL. ever. when i lived in SF, i was lucky when i begged them to send me a Safeway gift card.

upon mentioning to the ‘rents that i was going, i got a text from my dad: “Call me, I’ve got an idea.”

I’m FLOORED at what he proposed and my trip will be saved!

I need to find a cheap round trip ticket (probz to Newark…the one day meeting is in Secaucus, NJ.)

I’l take a train to Manhattan and my dude will meet me there.

The parents rented an apartment in the city for a week while they just so happen to be there at the same time. They have extra space. We’re gonna stay with them. Yeah, not what I expected, but DAMN, savings city, amirite? And they’ve got box seats to the Yankees/Giants game (my dad is dragging my mom cross country following them). Having an apartment means making some meals at home. Again, savings. Being in the city? Less time on trains, although we’ll totally spend a day in Brooklyn.

Soooo, my spirits are lifted a bit and I’m doing what I can to get there. Exciting.
