My younger brother got into Cal State Fullerton.
this may seem like a small feat, but my brother is a ‘special needs’ individual.
While I’ve dicked around and taken for granted my natural academic, social, and physical abilities, my bro has been working his ass off despite frequent failures and setbacks. He tries so hard.
my family and i have been really hopeful during this loooong ‘special consideration’ application/admissions process, but it hasn’t really been so great. a lot of places just declined admission at the outset; others sent nicely worded letters about how the school’s budget has been cut and they are would have loved to have him, but can’t accept him now.
ohmigod. he’s going to a university before me.
